The Benefits – My Promise to You
Ask yourself these questions:
- How would it feel to trade sadness, anger and resentment, for forgiveness and the freedom to enjoy life’s wonderful adventures?
- How would it feel to let go of burdens of the past and open up to lighter and more hopeful possibilities?
- How would it feel to be given the permission not to forgive but to find other ways to start the process of healing?
- Wouldn’t it be great not to feel pressured by those who keep telling you that forgiveness is the right thing to do?
On this retreat I will show you how to access your feelings, express them safely and effectively, and open yourself to discover the reservoir of love and joy that lie just beneath your pain, launching you into a new life of love and fulfillment.
By the end of this retreat, through inner and outer adventures, and a journey of forgiveness, you will have a wonderful sense of lightness and freedom. You will have let go of the fear holding you back and can move forward to enjoy a life filled with possibility as you soar forever free.

You’ll come away from this life-changing, transformative Bosnian journey retreat learning how to forgive (if you choose to forgive) and find unlimited future possibilities.

The Venue
Sarajevo is the busy and vibrant capital city of Bosnia & Herzegovina and is home to a unique blend of old Ottoman culture and modern cosmopolitan lifestyle.
After a full day of activities, you can return to your comfortable room in the modern 4* President Hotel located in Baščaršija, the centre of the old town in Sarajevo. The en-suite rooms have air-conditioning, heating and TV.
Set in beautiful natural surrounds you will also spend one night at the authentically recreated and reconstructed stone Herceg Ethno Village in Medjugorje.
In this timeless setting you can escape from your thoughts, connect with your spirit, and restore your soul.

The Cuisine
You will love the Bosnian cuisine which ranks as some of the best in Eastern Europe with influences from the Ottomans, the Mediterranean and Central Europe. Meals are mostly slow-cooked in their juices with a seasoning of aromatic spices. Meals tend to be light with a generous portion of vegetables.
There are plenty of delicious choices to meet the vegetarian, vegan and gluten free requirements. Vegetables, such as eggplant, peppers and zucchini, are stuffed with either meat or rice and seasoning.
Try the Bosnian national dish, cepavi, which is minced meat from lamb or beef that meet halal requirements and formed into sausages or kebabs and served inside a flatbread with onions and sauce.
You will enjoy the delicious Turkish influenced snack – burkes, of flaky pastry with meat, cheese or spinach filling.
Appetising chicken and vegetable or bean soups, meat or cheese dumplings, and the localised Bosnian Dolma, are other dishes worthy of trying.
And of course, there is the yummy famous baklava dessert of filo pastry with layers of nuts, syrup and honey and the Tufahija which is an apple boiled in sugar and stuffed with walnuts is served with its syrup and whipped cream in a large glass.
All this can be washed down with the bitter taste of thick Bosnian coffee.

My Story – how I got from Fear to Forgiveness to Freedom.
Over 20 years ago – working late one night in my small printing business – I was brutally attacked, raped and left for dead. I survived. Not only did I become a statistic – every 40 seconds a woman in South Africa is raped. I also became the victim of betrayal by my business partner.
I no longer wanted to work in that place of blood splattered ugly memories. My business partner, instead of buying me out as agreed, liquidated the business and I lost everything. My lover wanted nothing to do with me after that – I lost him too.
My response to all of this was – to be strong – to change the law, the constitution – to change the world. People lauded me for being so brave and so strong in my public fight to save the world.
In so doing I denied the reality of my pain and my fear and suffered severe psychosomatic back problems and the inability to do the things I loved most – hiking and scuba diving. In saving the world I forgot to save myself and lived as a victim for all those years. And so finally after years of living in fear and in pain – I forgave…
The rapist. My business partner. My lover. Those friends who kept complimenting me on my bravery and strength when I was not strong and brave. And finally, the hardest part – I forgave myself.
Today, as a Personal, Life and Transformational Coach, I motivate and guides people to take ownership of their own growth and development and to identify and resolve their own problems making informed decisions. This makes a difference in their lives and enables them to achieve their personal best and find personal fulfillment and happiness.
I help people forgive transgressors and to take back their own lives.
Wouldn’t you like to be one of these people? Wouldn’t you like to forgive and fly free? If so, please join me on this transformative journey. I would love to have you. I can also guarantee that your life will never be the same!
